Mark Manson just turned 30 and after writing a post on what he learned in his 20s, he thought of writing a new post.  This time it is list of life hacks to survive swiftly and excel at the same time when one will reach the age of 30.  In order to complete his list, he asked the help from his subscribers who were aged 37 and older and inquired on what advices and tips they would give their 30-year-old selves if given the chance. The response was overwhelming!

1. BEGIN SAVING MONEY FOR RETIREMENT NOW!

Stop spending, pay every debts and begin saving.  That should exactly be the mantra that every 30 –year-olds should keep in mind.  One should be financially educated right at this age to have a secure future when he/she retires.

2. BEGIN CARING FOR YOUR HEALTH NOW!

It is a common knowledge that taking care of one’s health is a must.  The only hard thing is the application of this knowledge.  There is just simply a lot of temptation around us that is detrimental to our health.  It is definitely important to have self-control and discipline since as we age, our health also deteriorate.  The only thing we can do is to hasten the whole process.

3. AVOID PEOPLE WHO SENDS YOU BAD VIBES

It is sometimes good to say no.  If there is a person, an event, or a task that makes you feel uncomfortable instead of the opposite, have the courage to say no to prevent you from further misery. Learn to set your boundaries.

4. BE KIND TO PEOPLE  THAT MATTERS

Spend your precious time to the people that matters most to you.  Don’t take them for granted and appreciate every moment you spend with them.

5.  FOCUS ON YOUR EXPERTISE

A person can never have it all.  Focus on one thing and excel on it.  You will be surprised by the rewards you get afterwards.

6. HAVE THE COURAGE TO TAKE THE RISK

It is really difficult to live a life of what-ifs.  Take the leap and take the risk!

7. CONTINUE TO GROW

Age should not be a hindrance to one’s further development and growth.  Always strive to be a better version of you.

8. GET USE TO THE UNKNOWN

There is always room for improvement and for fresh ideas that is why it is good that at this age, there are still things that you have yet to learn.

9. INVEST TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY

Spend more time with your parents, your significant other and your kids.  The satisfaction it brings is priceless.

10. RESPECT YOURSELF

If you value yourself, continuing with your life would be much easier.  Spoil yourself sometimes.
