Lady Gaga and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are together in a song number from “Lady Gaga and The Muppets” holiday spectacular performing Frank Loesser’s Christmas and lover’s song titled “Baby It’s Cold Outside”. The singing duo charmed their way to our hearts as they sang the winter favorite song on a Thursday night as both stars were both outfitted in a sleek and chic ‘50s-style attire.
We all know Joseph Gordon-Levitt from the movie 500 Days of Summer alongside Zooey Deschanel and this style of music may seem his kind of thing as we can imagine him listening to the tune of Christmas playlist, old standard and so. In fact, his former co-star’s band, Deschanel’s She and Him, has already made their own version of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” which is so very Zoeey. On the other hand, Lady Gaga is already accustomed to singing Christmas song.
As a matter of fact, she has co-written her own Christmas song entitled “Christmas Tree” she made around 2008. In the video clip, they joined forces to create their own version of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” ensemble. In their version though, the role was reversed. The role Lady Gaga played is usually done by a man attempting to get his girl to stay so that he may spend more time with her as it is cold outside.
The video clip in Youtube has acquired around 600 thousand views as of the moment. It however received mixed reviews mostly critics of Lady Gaga and praises for Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Perhaps people are not used to the image that was portrayed by Lady Gaga in the song number that was why a lot of people commented on how aweful she sang her part and how distracting she looked. Some commented that the two did not have any chemistry at all while a few said it was refreshing to hear their version of the song.
